Junior IT Hardware Technician – Desktop & CCTV Support

About the role

The Junior IT Hardware Technician provides first‑level support for computer hardware, network infrastructure, and CCTV surveillance systems across the organization. The role ensures that desktops, laptops, peripherals and security cameras are installed, maintained and operating smoothly to support business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, biometric devices and other IT peripherals.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, operating system and peripheral issues.
• Install and configure Windows operating systems, drivers and essential software applications.
• Set up, configure and troubleshoot LAN, Wi‑Fi, routers, switches and overall network connectivity.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR systems and related cabling, including alignment, recording verification and preventive maintenance.
• Assist in laying network and CCTV cables and ensure proper cable management.
• Provide first‑level technical support to end users for hardware and basic software problems.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and coordinate with vendors for repairs, warranty claims and AMC services.
• Support data backup, antivirus installation, system updates and IT security practices.
• Maintain service records, asset movement logs and preventive maintenance schedules.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Hardware & Networking or a related discipline.
• 0–2 years of experience in IT hardware support, desktop support, hardware maintenance or CCTV installation (freshers with relevant training are welcome).
• Hardware & Networking certifications (A+, N+, CCNA or equivalent) are a plus.
