Junior Frontend Engineer (HTML/CSS) – Freelancer

About the role

Deccan AI Experts is seeking a Junior Frontend Engineer (HTML/CSS) on a freelance basis to support AI‑driven evaluation of web‑development outputs. You will work remotely with global AI and engineering teams, reviewing and improving AI‑generated HTML and CSS solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Create deliverables such as webpage layouts, responsive components, and styling implementations.
• Annotate and evaluate AI‑generated HTML/CSS code across diverse frontend scenarios.
• Review peer‑developed deliverables to ensure research quality and consistency.
• Diagnose and solve real‑world UI implementation challenges to enhance AI reasoning.
• Assess AI‑generated code for responsiveness, accessibility, maintainability, and visual consistency.
• Identify bugs, styling inconsistencies, layout issues, or inefficient implementations and provide structured feedback.
• Contribute domain expertise to improve AI models focused on frontend development.

Required profile

• Background in Computer Science, Web Development, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive web design principles.
• Familiarity with modern frontend workflows and browser compatibility considerations.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript and frontend frameworks is a plus.
• Ability to critically evaluate UI layouts, styling approaches, and code quality.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and ability to work independently in a remote, fast‑paced environment.
