Principal Engineer - AI/ML - Computer Vision

About the role

Lead the end‑to‑end development of critical AI subsystems for healthcare, shaping algorithmic direction through implementation, validation, optimization and deployment readiness. Work in a hybrid or onsite setting, collaborating with geographically distributed teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, high‑performance AI/ML and computer‑vision solutions, overseeing model evaluation, inference optimization and real‑world deployment.
• Translate open‑ended business requirements into clear technical strategies and execution plans, identifying technical risks early to ensure timely delivery.
• Drive agent‑assisted development using agentic AI, while critically reviewing AI‑generated code and artifacts for rigor and reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 12–17 years of experience in AI/ML, computer vision, deep learning or AI systems engineering.
• Experience leading agentic AI workflows or teams and delivering AI/ML products in regulated healthcare environments.

Required skills

• Advanced Python programming with hands‑on experience in PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Inference optimization and deployment using TensorRT, ONNX or OpenVINO.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and ML services such as SageMaker or Azure ML.
