Junior Accountant – Day-to-Day Accounting & GST

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to handle daily accounting operations for our client in Ahmedabad. The role requires basic knowledge of accounting principles, GST compliance, income‑tax filing, and banking processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day accounting entries using Tally or similar software.
• Prepare and update sales, purchase, and expense records.
• File GST returns (GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B) and perform GST reconciliation.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of income‑tax returns.
• Execute banking tasks such as bank reconciliation statements, cheque deposits, and payment follow‑ups.
• Ensure proper documentation and accurate accounting records.
• Support the senior accountant during monthly and yearly closing cycles.
• Coordinate with the Chartered Accountant for audits and compliance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
• Fundamental understanding of accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of GST, income‑tax procedures, and banking operations.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain high accuracy.
