IT System Administrator – L2/L3 (4-8 years experience)

About the role

The System Administrator (L2/L3) provides advanced technical support for end‑user devices, servers and core IT infrastructure. Reporting to senior IT leadership, the role ensures operational stability, drives compliance and mentors L1/L2 teams in a global, follow‑the‑sun environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 troubleshooting for hardware, software and network issues, including remote diagnostics and advanced configuration.
• Manage end‑user device patching, OS/application updates and endpoint protection using Intune, Autopilot, Azure AD and Microsoft 365.
• Administer servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file servers, backup/restore processes and security monitoring.
• Perform asset lifecycle management, imaging, deployment and tracking.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis, lead post‑incident reviews and guide junior support teams.
• Maintain endpoint protection (anti‑virus, EDR) and enforce CIS Benchmark baselines.
• Support Zero Trust Network Access, MFA for remote and privileged access, and maintain audit logs.
• Participate in compliance audits, regulatory reviews and security incident response.
• Use Jira Service Management or Freshservice ticketing platforms to manage incidents.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of hands‑on system administration and infrastructure management experience.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Experience supporting a global, multi‑tier support model and mentoring junior staff.
• Familiarity with ITIL, asset management and compliance frameworks.
