IT Services Technician

About the role

The IT Services Technician will join the IT team at Ametek’s support office and deliver Level I technical assistance to business users across the United States and selected global locations. Working 8 AM‑5 PM PT, the role focuses on remote telephone and online support, primarily for the Pleasanton, CA office.

Key responsibilities

• Provide telephone and online support for remote users, handling calls, emails and tickets.
• Collaborate with help‑desk staff to deliver desktop hardware and software support.
• Build and maintain high‑quality customer relationships through professional service.
• Review, prioritize and resolve support incidents, escalating when necessary.
• Document technical issues, root causes and contribute to the knowledge base.
• Troubleshoot a wide range of technologies including Cloud apps, hardware, network, server, security, and Office 365.
• Utilize AI tools to improve productivity and evaluate AI‑generated outputs.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of hands‑on technical support experience.
• Experience with help‑desk ticketing systems.
• Strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Team‑oriented attitude and proactive approach.
