IT Department Head – 10+ Years Experience

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT leader to head the Information Technology department of a leading healthcare provider. The role involves aligning technology initiatives with business objectives, ensuring robust IT operations, and supporting clinical and administrative functions.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the IT department in management and inter‑departmental meetings.
• Plan, coordinate, direct, and design all IT‑related activities across the organization.
• Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices, including JCI standards.
• Oversee procurement, vendor negotiations, and implementation of new software and hardware.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, escalation matrices, and quality records.
• Lead the installation, maintenance, and support of IT infrastructure and Hospital Information System (HIS).
• Manage a lean IT team, monitor log books, and report issues to senior management.
• Collaborate with corporate IT for additional support and ensure service level agreements are met.

Required profile

• Graduate with first‑division marks in 10th, 12th, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MCA, or B.Tech.
• Oracle or Microsoft DBA certification.
• 10+ years of experience in IT management, including inter‑departmental coordination.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a small IT team.
