Internal Audit Team Member

About the role

The Internal Audit Team Member will join the Business Internal Audit function of Aditya Birla Renewables in Mumbai. Reporting to the Business Internal Audit Team Lead, you will independently execute high‑quality audits across financial, operational, compliance and technology domains, providing objective assurance to senior management and the Audit Committee.

Key responsibilities

• Develop audit scopes and objectives based on the annual audit plan.
• Conduct end‑to‑end audits of business units and enterprise functions, assessing governance, risk management and internal controls.
• Draft risk‑control matrices, process flows, narratives and test controls to identify gaps and red flags.
• Prepare detailed audit observations, risk ratings, annexes and high‑quality audit reports.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management and support the preparation of management presentations.
• Track audit action items, perform validation testing and ensure timely closure.
• Leverage data‑analytics tools for continuous auditing and provide forward‑looking insights.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or professional qualification in finance, accounting, business administration or related field.
• Demonstrated experience in internal audit, risk assessment or compliance within a complex, multi‑geography organization.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to perform root‑cause analysis and develop actionable recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder coordination.
