Internal Accounting Manager

About the role

The Internal Accounting role manages end-to-end finance and accounting for the business and acts as the single point of contact for identified legal entities. It covers reporting, accounting, budgeting, taxation, fund management, costing, MIS and internal audits. The role is based in Bangalore.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, review the trial balance weekly and reconcile statutory receivables and payables periodically
• Prepare financial statements, management information reports, audit schedules and statutory returns, and ensure compliance with statutory laws
• Produce month-end and year-end financials (balance sheets, profit and loss) under IFRS, and monthly, quarterly and annual MIS
• Analyse reports such as SO reports and budget versus actuals, and prepare annual budgets and variance analysis
• Supervise invoicing, accruals and billings, and coordinate with the collection team and the MIS/reporting team
• Coordinate with the local management team, account managers and the Group Controller, and make decisions on operational issues in the region
• Manage the team, set roadmaps and ensure delivery deadlines for invoicing and MIS reports
• Act as director, trustee, nominee, manager, partner, secretary or authorized signatory in internal or client entities when required

Required profile

• University degree with 5-8 years of post-qualification experience in a similar fund or financial industry role
• CA Inter/ICWA Final or Intermediate qualification
• Fluent English; regional languages and additional languages preferred
• Ability to work in a small, dynamic local team with tight deadlines within a larger matrix organization

Required skills

• Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel, and experience with finance/accounting platforms
• Accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking and general ledger
• Knowledge of accounting standards and regional accounting principles
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and leadership skills
