Tax Compliance and Solutions Specialist

About the role

This is an individual contributor role based in Bangalore, responsible for adding value from a global tax and compliance perspective on International Tax, BEPS, POEM and MDR. The person helps position Amicorp's products and services in line with client business needs, analyzes client entity structures against the latest tax regulations and acts as a point of contact for escalations across jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze tax legislation, regulations and guidance to derive requirements independently.
• Act as point of contact for escalations and queries on tax treaties, economic substance requirements, anti-abuse rules, CFC, BEPS and transfer pricing documentation.
• Support local office teams in analyzing and reporting Mandatory Disclosure Rules (MDR, DAC6) in the EU.
• Assist the Tax Team with operational tasks such as BEPS, POEM and changes to tax treaties under the MLI.
• Keep up with local and global tax and compliance laws for tax-transparent economies, and understand global taxation rules for S. Persons and non-U.S. Persons.
• Work with the Reporting and Global Managers to find commercially viable tax and compliance solutions, and help create manuals, policies, training materials and toolkits.
• Drive process excellence, automation and efficiency, ensuring SLAs and turnaround times are met.
• Undertake director, trustee, nominee, manager, partner, secretary or authorized signatory positions in internal or client entities when asked by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, MBA or qualification as an accountant.
• At least 14 years of experience in direct taxation, corporate taxation or international taxation within a tax advisory firm, law firm, trust or company management firm.
• Prior BEPS, POEM, ESR and MDR experience preferred.
• Fluent English; additional languages preferred.
