Instrumentation Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Instrumentation Maintenance Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and documenting maintenance activities on all instrumentation systems within the workshop and plant environment. The role ensures reliable operation, compliance with statutory and HSE requirements, and continuous improvement of maintenance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules for instrumentation equipment in coordination with planning and plant teams.
• Perform critical instrumentation maintenance, calibration, testing, and refurbishment while adhering to quality standards.
• Assist in budgeting, cost estimation, and resource optimisation for workshop instrumentation maintenance.
• Monitor and report on maintenance KPIs to ensure targets are met.
• Coordinate external repairs and oversee maintenance of shared instrumentation assets.
• Support turnaround and shutdown activities, ensuring timely testing and calibration of equipment.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory, track levels, and standardise critical spares.
• Prepare compliance documentation, audit records, and MIS reports related to instrumentation maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (Instrumentation or Electronics) or a Master's degree in the same field.
