Infection Control Nurse

About the role

The Infection Control Nurse will join Kims Super Speciality Hospital in Bilaspur to lead the hospital’s infection prevention and control programme. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on safeguarding patients, staff and visitors by ensuring rigorous infection control standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve infection prevention and control policies.
• Monitor, analyse and report infection data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Educate and train healthcare staff on best practices for infection control.
• Ensure compliance with national and international infection control standards.
• Assess infection risks, conduct investigations of outbreaks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote a safe clinical environment.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse licence.
• Proficiency in infection control practices and protocols.
• Strong nursing background with experience in patient care.
• Understanding of infectious diseases and related medical concepts.
• Specialised knowledge in infection management and prevention.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or equivalent is a plus.
• Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
