Independent Contract Attorney – Remote (AI Training)

About the role

We are seeking an independent contract attorney to work remotely on a contract basis. In this role you will apply your legal expertise to train next‑generation AI systems by evaluating and refining model outputs through simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Perform simulated contract negotiations and redlining to assess AI‑generated suggestions for accuracy, risk, and legal soundness.
• Review AI responses to contract scenarios and provide expert feedback to improve model performance.
• Collaborate with product and research teams to refine training data, annotation guidelines, and evaluation criteria.
• Identify gaps or inconsistencies in AI‑generated drafts and propose corrections aligned with legal standards.
• Ensure high‑quality legal input to enhance the reliability of AI systems used in contract drafting and negotiation.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years experience in contract drafting, review, or negotiation within a legal or corporate environment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to assess legal risks and implications.
• Familiarity with SaaS contracts and technology transactions.
• Ability to evaluate and provide feedback on AI‑generated outputs without prior AI experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
