Income Auditor – Hotel Revenue Specialist

About the role

The Income Auditor will oversee daily revenue auditing for all hotel departments, ensuring accurate recording, reconciliation and compliance with financial policies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily audits of revenue from rooms, F&B, banquets, spa, laundry and other departments.
• Verify revenue reports from PMS, POS and other systems.
• Reconcile room revenue, guest accounts, city ledger and cash transactions.
• Identify and report discrepancies, errors or unusual transactions.
• Review complimentary rooms, discounts, rebates, voids and adjustments for proper authorization.
• Prepare daily audit reports and maintain audit logs for management and regulatory review.
• Monitor and strengthen internal controls to prevent revenue leakage.
• Assist with month‑end and period‑end closing, including revenue accruals and adjustments.
• Provide training to hotel staff on revenue recording procedures and system usage.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 4–5 years of experience in hotel finance, income audit, night audit or accounting.
• Strong knowledge of hotel revenue operations and accounting practices.
• Familiarity with hotel systems such as PMS and POS.
• Good understanding of revenue reconciliation, taxation and financial controls.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
