In-House Advocate – New Delhi

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled In‑House Advocate to join our legal team in New Delhi. The role involves managing litigation, contracts and stakeholder relationships for a company operating in the steel, foundry and metal sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Track and update all domestic and international legal cases using a case‑tracker MIS; familiarity with Notion is a plus.
• Maintain relationships with internal departments, external counsel and negotiate fees.
• Attend court hearings (physical or virtual) as the authorised company representative and provide timely updates.
• Draft, review and manage contracts and agreements with meticulous attention to detail.
• Prepare case summaries and compile documents for external counsel.
• Conduct legal research on policy matters and monitor changes in laws and regulations.
• Draft legal representations and liaise with government bodies and industry associations.
• Occasional travel for legal matters as required.

Required profile

• LL.B degree with 3‑5 years of proven in‑house legal experience.
• Strong knowledge of Indian court procedures and litigation.
• Tech‑savvy with ability to use legal software for case and contract management.
• Excellent analytical, drafting and communication skills.
• High ethical standards, confidentiality and integrity.
