ICU Staff Nurse

About the role

The ICU Staff Nurse provides high‑level, specialized care to critically ill patients in an intensive care setting. This role involves continuous monitoring, complex medication administration, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor vital signs and detect subtle changes in patient condition.
• Administer IV, oral, and other medications, manage drips, and operate ventilators and other ICU equipment.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans in coordination with doctors, therapists, and specialists.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies, lead resuscitation efforts, and alert the healthcare team as needed.
• Provide clear communication and emotional support to patients’ families, explaining treatment plans and recovery processes.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all patient interactions and interventions.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an ICU or critical care environment.
• Valid nursing license (RN) with BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong critical‑thinking abilities and the capacity to work under high‑stress conditions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork and family interaction.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
• Ventilator management and operation.
• IV medication and fluid administration.
