Human Resources Manager – Luxury Boutique Hotel

About the role

The Human Resources Manager will lead all HR functions for Monsoon Empress, a 5‑star boutique hotel in Kochi. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures a positive, inclusive workplace while supporting the hotel’s high‑service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end HR operations: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and compliance with labour laws.
• Partner with department heads to identify staffing needs and develop workforce plans.
• Coordinate training, development, and engagement initiatives that reinforce service excellence.
• Handle employee queries, grievance resolution, and support payroll and benefits administration.
• Maintain accurate HR documentation, records, and reporting.
• Contribute to HR strategies aimed at improving employee engagement, retention, and overall service quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience in core HR functions, preferably within hospitality or service‑focused organisations.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, labour legislation, and compliance requirements for hotel operations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; advanced HR certifications are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, guest‑centric environment.
