HR Manager

About the role

You will support the Director of HRD in shaping and delivering the hotel’s human resources strategy. The role oversees the onsite HR and Learning & Development team, ensuring smooth recruitment, employee engagement and compliance with Indian labour regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with hotel leadership to provide HR business support and drive employee engagement initiatives.
• Lead talent acquisition, coordinate recruitment, selection and onboarding for all hotel functions.
• Maintain and update HR policies, ensuring compliance with local employment legislation and the new labour codes.
• Oversee HR reporting, analytics and HRIS data accuracy, and conduct internal audits.
• Manage employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances and capability issues, confidentially.
• Facilitate performance development reviews, training programmes and the Shangri‑La Care core modules.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar HR Business Partner or HR Operations role.
• Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws and the new labour codes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across hotel departments.
• Experience handling payroll processes and working with outsourced vendors.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently and drive end‑to‑end HR initiatives.
