Horizontal Machining Center Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Horizontal Machining Center Maintenance Engineer to join our Chennai facility. The role focuses on ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our large‑scale CNC machining equipment used for wind turbine components.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on horizontal machining centers.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, including drives, motors, sensors and control panels.
• Carry out preventive maintenance planning, scheduling and execution to minimise downtime.
• Inspect equipment, maintain accurate maintenance logs and monitor spare‑parts inventory.
• Collaborate with production, quality and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement in equipment performance.
• Adhere to safety standards and participate in maintenance planning activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Strong background in equipment maintenance for CNC and heavy industrial machinery.
• Hands‑on experience with preventive and electrical maintenance of machining centers.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, machine manuals and maintenance documentation.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on‑site.
• Prior experience in CNC machining centers or heavy engineering environments is highly beneficial.
