Head - Project Management Office

About the role

The Head of the Project Management Office (PMO) will lead the establishment, governance and continuous improvement of project management practices across a portfolio of turnkey EPC projects, including MV & EHV substations, digital substations, e‑houses and related solutions. Reporting to the Business Segment Head, this senior leader ensures portfolio visibility, schedule discipline, risk management and governance rigor to drive predictable execution and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce a robust PMO governance framework, standard methodologies, templates and stage‑gate controls.
• Lead regular project and portfolio reviews, identify schedule delays, cost overruns and execution risks, and drive corrective action planning.
• Develop and maintain real‑time portfolio dashboards, standardize KPI frameworks and provide executive‑level insights.
• Standardize project scheduling practices using MS Project, create baseline schedules, perform critical‑path analysis and monitor deviations.
• Implement digital PMO tools such as Power BI dashboards and promote data‑analytics and automation in project monitoring.
• Create a knowledge repository for lessons learned and champion continuous‑improvement culture.
• Build and lead a high‑performing PMO team, define competency frameworks and deliver training in EPC project management, scheduling, risk management and digital tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
• MBA, PMP, PgMP or equivalent certification (preferred).
• PM@Siemens Project Manager Certification – minimum “C” level (preferred).
• 15‑20+ years of experience in EPC substation projects (MV/EHV AIS/GIS).
• At least 5 years in a PMO leadership role.
• Strong understanding of solution portfolio and EPC business model.
