Head of Commercial Feed Origination (Precious Metals)

About the role

Emerald Jewel Industry India Limited is launching a 200‑tonne‑per‑month precious‑metals refinery in Coimbatore. The Head of Commercial Feed Origination will build the refinery’s feed book from scratch, securing gold‑bearing concentrates and high‑grade feed from producers, aggregators and trading desks worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and negotiate with counterparties across Latin America, Africa and other regions to source gold‑bearing concentrates.
• Structure commercial terms including payables, treatment and refining charges, assay exchange and settlement protocols.
• Conduct counter‑party due‑diligence and KYC in line with OECD responsible‑sourcing standards.
• Collaborate with plant leadership on feed acceptance criteria, parcel scheduling and metallurgical settlement.
• Represent the refinery at industry events and with international trading partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in metals trading, refinery commercial operations, bullion/doré trading or mining commercial roles.
• Proven ability to price and settle concentrate transactions, including payables, TC/RCs and assay reconciliation.
• Track record of negotiating with international counterparties; existing gold‑supply‑chain relationships are a plus.
• Familiarity with responsible‑sourcing frameworks such as OECD Due Diligence Guidance and LBMA.
• Comfortable building a new commercial function with full ownership and direct access to senior leadership.
