Head of Architectural Design – Real Estate Mixed Use Development

About the role

The Head of Architectural Design will lead the creation of innovative, sustainable design concepts for Adani Airports' mixed‑use Airport City projects across major Indian cities. This senior position combines strategic planning, team leadership, and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver world‑class airport and real‑estate environments.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously assess industry best practices and emerging trends to develop forward‑looking design concepts for both greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Analyze key business drivers and translate them into design strategies that enhance airport flexibility, operational efficiency, and future readiness.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary design team, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and alignment with sustainability goals.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to integrate architectural solutions with overall project objectives.
• Oversee the design development process for mixed‑use components such as retail, office, hotels, convention centres, and arenas spanning over 22 million sq ft in the initial phases.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, global standards, and Adani’s corporate design guidelines.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in architectural design for large‑scale mixed‑use or airport‑related developments.
• Proven track record of delivering innovative, sustainable design solutions in complex, multi‑city projects.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate business objectives into design outcomes.
• Leadership experience managing multidisciplinary design teams.
• Deep understanding of sustainability standards and green building practices.
