Head Cashier – Luxury Jewelry Retail

About the role

We are looking for a polished, detail‑oriented Head Cashier to lead the checkout experience at our luxury jewelry boutique in Rajkot. You will be the final point of contact for customers, ensuring every transaction ends as beautifully as it began.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash, credit, debit and financing payments accurately using the store POS system.
• Handle luxury finance applications, layaway plans and store credit with strict confidentiality.
• Provide warm, luxury‑standard customer service, answering questions about gemstones, metal karats, care, warranties and return policies.
• Follow loss‑prevention protocols, conduct daily opening and closing inventory counts, and ensure all high‑value items are properly tagged and secured.
• Gift‑wrap purchases according to brand guidelines and prepare jewelry for client hand‑over.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer, manage repair intake paperwork and log client details into the CRM system for follow‑ups.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of cashier or retail sales experience, preferably in luxury retail, fine jewelry or high‑end apparel.
• Strong basic math skills for discounts, taxes, commissions and finance calculations.
• High level of integrity and a clean cash‑handling record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a warm, empathetic demeanor.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to verify serial numbers, gemstone settings and certificates.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
• Familiarity with luxury clienteling software (preferred).
