General Manager – Site HR

About the role

The General Manager – Site HR will lead all human‑resource activities at the site, ensuring they align with Adani’s corporate HR policies and business objectives. This senior position is responsible for shaping a high‑performing, engaged workforce that supports the company’s values of care, sustainability and empowerment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic workforce planning, succession and deployment to meet site manpower needs.
• Drive employee engagement programmes that foster a collaborative and productive environment.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding and retention initiatives for operational and leadership roles.
• Partner with site leadership to provide HR guidance for operational decisions.
• Champion performance‑management processes, including objective setting, continuous feedback and transparent appraisals.
• Ensure compliance with statutory labour laws, health‑safety regulations and industrial‑relations standards applicable to the power/energy sector in Jharkhand.
• Manage employee relations, grievance handling, disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.
• Design and deliver learning and development programmes for technical and leadership capability building.
• Administer compensation and benefits in line with company policy and market benchmarks.
• Lead diversity and inclusion initiatives and promote an equitable workplace.
• Collaborate with corporate HR on policy rollout, audits and HR‑systems implementation.
• Lead change‑management projects related to restructuring, technology adoption or process improvement.
• Monitor HR analytics and prepare regular workforce, turnover and compliance reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• MBA/PGDM with a specialization in HR is preferred.
