GB/G Cost Center & Profitability Analyst

About the role

The GB/G Cost Center & Profitability Analyst will support BASF’s new Global Hub in India by providing accurate cost‑center accounting, income‑statement analysis, and profitability insights for business units across the Americas. You will work in a multicultural, fast‑paced environment, collaborating with finance and HR teams to drive data‑driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily and monthly cost‑center accounting, income‑statement, and non‑trade processes for BASF Group of Americas.
• Distribute expenses across cost objects and generate monthly income statements for business decision‑making.
• Ensure consistency between financial and management modules.
• Analyze and allocate positions in monthly and annual income statements.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities using new technologies.
• Support audit, internal control, and efficiency‑enhancement initiatives.

Required profile

• Graduate in Public Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural, global environment.
