Full Stack Engineer

About the role

As a Full Stack Engineer at Ethos, you will work across the entire technology stack, handling everything from data storage to server‑side logic and front‑end UI. You’ll collaborate closely with other engineers to design, build, and ship high‑impact features while maintaining clean, modular, and high‑performing code.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop and ship features.
• Design, build, and maintain APIs.
• Write efficient, modular, and reusable libraries and abstractions.
• Create internal tooling to improve development efficiency.
• Identify and resolve performance issues.
• Participate in code reviews and communicate best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• 4+ years of full‑time engineering experience.
• Expertise in JavaScript and full‑stack development with JavaScript/Node.js and Python/Django.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, database design, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with large‑scale web application architecture and clean API design.
• Solid computer‑science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and security concepts.
• Familiarity with build systems such as Webpack and deployment in high‑scale environments.
