Senior Trading System Support Engineer

About the role

FalconX is building a comprehensive solution for institutional crypto trading, bridging traditional finance and cutting‑edge technology. As a Senior Trading System Support Engineer you will join the trading systems engineering team to enhance the core trading platforms that power the firm’s digital‑asset strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and automate infrastructure and applications supporting low‑latency trading platforms.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve reliability, scalability, and security of the trading systems.
• Provide operational support, on‑call rotation, and incident response for production services.
• Monitor system health, performance, and latency, and implement proactive fixes before they impact trading.
• Maintain rigorous security best practices and manage user queries and service requests.
• Drive platform initiatives such as monitoring, reporting, and release automation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps Engineer, preferably on a front‑office trading floor.
• Strong knowledge of Linux internals, networking (TCP/UDP), FIX protocol, and low‑latency system optimization.
• Experience with electronic trading platforms, order management systems, and the full trade lifecycle.
• Proven ability to work night‑shift US hours and communicate technical issues clearly to stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ownership, urgency, and a proactive approach to incident analysis and resolution.

• Databases and messaging: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Kafka, RabbitMQ.
• Network fundamentals and low‑latency protocols (FIX, Aeron).
