Front Office Guest Service Agent (GSA) – Hotel

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Front Office Guest Service Agent (GSA) to be the welcoming face of our hotel in Bangalore. You will ensure smooth check‑in and check‑out experiences, handle guest inquiries, and uphold the high service standards of Grand Mercure.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and manage the check‑in/check‑out process with accuracy.
• Handle guest requests, complaints, and special needs promptly and professionally.
• Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations using the hotel management system.
• Maintain accurate cash transactions and financial records.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure room readiness and special requests.
• Assist with luggage handling, transportation arrangements, and overbooking situations.
• Conduct daily audits of guest folios and resolve discrepancies.
• Participate in upselling initiatives and promote hotel promotions, packages, and loyalty programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency in hotel management software and general computer systems.
