Food & Beverage Ambassador

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and professional Food & Beverage Ambassador to join the pre‑opening team at Fairmont Udaipur Palace. In this role you will be the first point of contact for guests in our restaurants, lounges and banquet areas, delivering the high standards of service expected from a luxury hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests warmly, creating a positive first impression.
• Present menus, explain items and daily specials, and make recommendations.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure timely service.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to maintain smooth operations.
• Maintain clean, organized dining areas and service stations.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, respond promptly to requests or concerns.
• Promote hotel restaurants, special promotions and upsell items.
• Handle guest billing accurately using POS systems.
• Assist with table set‑up and clearing before and after service.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management or Food & Beverage Service (preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in restaurant, hotel or resort service; fresh graduates from recognized institutes may be considered.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage service procedures and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Well‑groomed appearance and professional etiquette.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS (point‑of‑sale) systems for order taking and billing.
