FMCG Operations Team Lead – Retail Store (Meerut)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced FMCG Operations Team Lead to oversee end‑to‑end store operations at our Best Price store in Meerut. You will manage inventory, lead a floor team, and ensure compliance with food safety and retail standards to drive sales and minimise waste.

Key responsibilities

• Implement FEFO and FIFO protocols to reduce expiry losses and shrinkage.
• Maintain daily planogram compliance, placing high‑margin products at eye level.
• Coordinate with warehouse or local distributors for timely indenting and Goods Received Note processing.
• Lead a team of 10‑15 associates, conducting daily briefings on sales targets and promotional focus.
• Ensure accurate price tagging, promotional signage, and zero billing errors at POS counters.
• Supervise home‑delivery operations to meet committed turnaround times.
• Uphold FSSAI food safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness of fresh produce and dairy sections.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in FMCG retail (e.g., Reliance Fresh, Easyday, Vishal Mega Mart).
• Ability to work in a high‑pressure, physically demanding environment.
• Strong knowledge of Meerut’s local geography for last‑mile delivery management.
• Fluency in Punjabi and Hindi for effective communication with staff and vendors.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of retail ERP systems such as SAP, Ginesys, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for stock‑ageing reports and sales‑vs‑target tracking.
