Business Development Manager – Garment Export

About the role
We are seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to expand our garment export business across Europe, the United States, Australia, and South‑East Asia. You will identify and engage international buyers, present our product range, and hand over qualified accounts to the merchandising team for execution.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business opportunities with garment buyers in target regions.
- Research markets, buyers, and industry trends to build a robust sales pipeline.
- Initiate contact via email, calls, trade platforms and exhibitions, and nurture relationships.
- Present company capabilities, product range and value proposition to prospective clients.
- Negotiate initial terms, pricing direction and order expectations.
- Onboard new clients and ensure a smooth handover to merchandising for sampling, costing and production.
- Maintain regular follow‑ups to convert leads and secure repeat business.
- Achieve sales targets and report pipeline progress to management.
- Represent the company at trade fairs and industry events as required.
Required profile
- Minimum 2–3 years of business development or sales experience, preferably in garments or textiles export.
- Excellent written and spoken English for international communication.
- Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship‑building abilities.
- Self‑driven, target‑oriented and comfortable working across different time zones.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and trade shows.
Required skills
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Familiarity with CRM or sales tools.
