Finite Element Analysis Specialist - Linear Static Analysis

About the role

The Finite Element Analysis Specialist will join the Aerostructures Data Management team at Airbus India Private Limited, supporting the FEM Factory for aircraft programmes. You will act as the key liaison between the Airframe FEM community, strategic suppliers, and Airbus India FEM & Stress teams, driving the creation of high‑quality linear static models.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review DFEM (Linear NASTRAN) models for wings, fuselage and other components across aircraft lifecycles.
• Assess static strength using linear finite element analysis to verify structural integrity.
• Coordinate with Airbus EU customers, internal design/stress teams, and external suppliers on work packages.
• Approve DFEM models in accordance with Airbus standards and documentation (e.g., M2036).
• Automate simulation lifecycle processes to reduce manual effort and shorten timelines.
• Champion quality and first‑time‑right delivery while challenging existing methods.

Required profile

• 10+ years of engineering experience with strong knowledge of DFEM and linear NASTRAN model build.
• Solid fundamentals in engineering mechanics, strength of materials and stress analysis of metallic and composite structures.
• Experience coordinating large, multicultural teams and managing supplier KPIs.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Required skills

• Linear NASTRAN (SOL 101, 103, 106; SOL 400 advantageous)
• Hypermesh for DFEM creation
• Static condensation techniques in Nastran
• DFEM workflow and Airbus process documents (e.g., M2036)
• Airbus sizing tool ISAMI (preferred)
