Financial Crime Agile Testing Specialist

About the role

Barclays is hiring a Financial Crime Agile Testing Specialist in Pune, India, within its Compliance business area. The role provides data-led expert oversight and checks on business and compliance matters to show that the organisation operates in line with its legal, regulatory and ethical responsibilities. It sits in the 2nd line function and is open to candidates who may be assessed on skills such as risk and controls, change and transformation, assurance testing, financial crime investigations, agile delivery and stakeholder management.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess compliance risks by reviewing business activities, changes, processes, testing and systems.
• Investigate potential market abuse, including insider dealing, unlawful disclosure, market manipulation and anti-competitive conduct.
• Investigate compliance risk events or breaches and oversee corrective and preventative actions.
• Implement compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and international standards.
• Collaborate with 1LOD, other compliance teams, legal and risk management functions.
• Identify, investigate and oversee potential money laundering, terrorist financing and other financial crime.

Required profile

• Experience in Financial Crime Assurance or Control Testing within a 2nd line function, with an understanding of investigative processes, control testing and hypothesis testing.
• Strong knowledge of compliance risk management and financial crime controls, and the ability to identify, assess, investigate and challenge risk events or control weaknesses.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to produce clear testing outputs and senior-level materials.
• Desirable: advisory or consulting experience, project and stakeholder management experience, and familiarity with case management systems (e.g. Salesforce), workflows, data handling, agile ways of working and digital testing tools.
