Financial Controller

About the role

Focaloid is seeking a proactive Financial Controller to lead the complete finance function across India and its overseas entities. The role combines accounting, business partnering, financial analysis, governance, and compliance to deliver actionable insights for a fast‑growing AI‑first company.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end finance operations for multiple entities, including monthly, quarterly and annual closes.
• Manage statutory, tax and internal audits, and ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, MCA, SEZ/STPI and Softex regulations.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, cash‑flow statements and Board MIS reports.
• Analyse project margins, utilization, realization and bench costs, providing recommendations.
• Oversee treasury, banking, foreign‑exchange and working‑capital management.
• Handle inter‑company accounting, transfer‑pricing support and vendor negotiations.
• Strengthen internal controls, finance governance and lead process improvements in Zoho Books/ERP.
• Liaise with auditors, company secretaries, banks and regulatory bodies.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Accounts team.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8–12 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in IT Services, Software or SaaS companies, handling multi‑entity and overseas operations.
• Strong knowledge of SEZ/STPI, Softex, GST, TDS and other Indian regulatory requirements.
• Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and MIS reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with vendor negotiation and receivables management.
