Financial Controller (CA) – FMCG & D2C Growth

About the role

Peanutbutter and Jelly Private Limited, a subsidiary of Heritage Foods Limited, is looking for a Chartered Accountant to lead finance operations for its Get‑A‑Way brand. The role focuses on supporting rapid growth in the FMCG and direct‑to‑consumer (D2C) segments of healthy desserts and related food products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and long‑term financial planning.
• Develop financial strategies that enable D2C expansion and new product launches.
• Monitor key financial metrics, provide actionable insights to senior leadership, and drive cost‑efficiency initiatives.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with Indian GAAP/IFRS.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvements.
• Conduct profitability analysis for products, channels and business units.
• Maintain compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax and other statutory requirements.
• Establish strong internal controls, financial policies and governance frameworks.
• Partner with leadership on fundraising, capital allocation and growth financing.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, supply chain, sales and senior management.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant qualification (mandatory).
• 6‑8 years of experience in FMCG, food manufacturing or D2C sectors.
• Proven experience managing multi‑location finances and driving cost efficiencies.
• Strong analytical, leadership and communication abilities.
• Experience in high‑growth startup environments is preferred.
