Finance Operations Lead

About the role

The Finance Operations Lead will oversee the end‑to‑end financial planning, accounting and cash‑flow processes for the organisation. Reporting to senior management, this role ensures accurate budgeting, timely reporting and compliance with tax and audit requirements while driving continuous improvement in financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate the preparation, review and adherence to annual budgets for all business units, departments and projects.
• Manage financial accounting and cash‑flow through the ERP system, ensuring accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, resolve accounting issues and ensure compliance with accounting policies and standards.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, and coordinate with corporate accounts and taxation teams.
• Monitor cash‑flows, conduct periodic reviews and close quarterly and annual accounts without errors.
• Prepare and release performance reports, analyse profit & loss and balance‑sheet schedules for decision‑making.
• Provide monthly performance reporting and financial ratio analysis to senior management.
• Handle GST and tax authority interactions, negotiate with clients, vendors and bankers on commercial and financing terms.
• Build and develop a strong finance, accounts and administration team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in budgeting, financial accounting and cash‑flow management.
• Strong knowledge of GST, tax regulations and audit processes.
• Ability to design and enforce internal controls and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical skills for financial statement analysis and ratio monitoring.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills with clients, vendors and financial institutions.
• Leadership capability to develop and mentor a finance team.
