Finance Controller – GCC Operations

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing pharmaceutical company operating across multiple business units, is seeking an experienced Finance Controller for its GCC operations in Kochi. The role will lead the finance control function, bring structure and accountability, and provide accurate financial visibility to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for financial control across multiple business units, reviewing and streamlining accounting processes and systems.
• Ensure accurate, timely books of accounts and financial reporting, and manage monthly, quarterly and annual closures.
• Establish standardized accounting procedures, controls, SOPs and strengthen approval, reconciliation and documentation processes.
• Lead and develop the finance and accounts team, defining roles, reporting structures and performance expectations.
• Drive the annual budgeting process, coordinate with business heads, monitor performance against budgets and analyse variances.
• Lead periodic forecasting, long‑term financial planning and cost‑optimization initiatives.

Required profile

• 10+ years of finance and accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a Finance Controller or equivalent role.
• Proven experience in a pharmaceutical or healthcare environment is preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify gaps, implement robust systems and drive financial discipline.
• Hands‑on leadership style with experience managing finance teams.
