Finance Analyst

About the role

Resonate Solutions is building a two‑person Finance team in Kochi and needs a Finance Analyst to lead FP&A, management reporting and SaaS metrics. This role is analytical, not transactional, and includes full cross‑training on the accountant function to ensure continuity when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Review monthly MRR and SaaS metrics in Planhat, verify invoicing and highlight trends for leadership.
• Own the monthly close calendar, produce P&L analysis and management reports.
• Conduct budget‑vs‑actual analysis across departments and write variance commentary.
• Perform deep‑dive cost analysis, identify savings and flag material cost movements.
• Build and maintain Excel financial models for rolling forecasts, scenario analysis and KPI tracking.
• Manage sales commission and CSM bonus models, generate monthly payout reports.
• Maintain quarterly Rocks tracker and strategic planning sheets.
• Reconcile data across Xero, Planhat, EH and commission models, resolving discrepancies before final reporting.
• Prepare People & Culture data analyses (headcount, leave trends, contractor spend) and provide actionable recommendations.
• Support Board Pack preparation and respond to ad‑hoc financial analysis requests from senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in FP&A, financial modelling and SaaS metric analysis.
• Ability to step into the full accounting cycle (invoicing, AR, bank reconciliation, commissions) when required.
• Strong analytical mindset with the capacity to translate data into clear insights for executives.
• Resilience and willingness to work cross‑functionally in a small, fast‑moving team.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Experience with Xero accounting software.
• Familiarity with Planhat or similar SaaS revenue tracking tools.
• Budget‑vs‑actual analysis and variance reporting.
• Cost analysis and identification of savings opportunities.
