Finance Analyst

About the role

Resonate Solutions is building a two‑person Finance team in Kochi and needs a Finance Analyst to lead FP&A, management reporting, and SaaS metrics. This role combines strategic financial analysis with hands‑on accounting responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Review MRR and SaaS metrics each month, verify invoicing, and surface trends for leadership.
• Own the monthly close calendar, deliver P&L analysis and management reports.
• Run budget‑vs‑actual analysis across departments and write variance commentary.
• Perform deep‑dive cost analysis, identify savings, and flag material cost movements.
• Build and maintain Excel models for rolling forecasts, scenario analysis, and KPI tracking.
• Manage sales commission and CSM bonus models, producing monthly payout reports.
• Maintain quarterly Rocks tracker and strategic planning sheets.
• Reconcile data across Xero, Planhat, and other systems to ensure consistency.
• Provide P&C data analysis and actionable recommendations.
• Support Board Pack preparation and ad‑hoc financial analysis for senior leadership.
• Identify process improvement and AI automation opportunities.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in FP&A and SaaS financial metrics.
• Ability to handle full accounting cycle (invoicing, AR, bank reconciliation, commissions) when needed.
• Resilient and comfortable working in a small, cross‑functional team.
• Excellent communication skills to translate data into clear insights for CEOs and department heads.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for financial modelling and analysis.
• Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
• Experience using Planhat for SaaS metric tracking.
