Field Service Engineer - Low Voltage Auto Chargers

About the role

Exponent Energy is looking for a proactive, technically sound Service Executive to lead its field operations for Low Voltage (LV) auto chargers in Bengaluru. The role sits in the Operations department and acts as the central link between the service team and the charging network, combining leadership of field technicians and operators with hands-on technical support. It is a hybrid technical-leadership position.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and synchronise daily activities of field technicians and site operators, coordinate schedules for 24/7 coverage and SLA compliance, and monitor response time, resolution rate and customer satisfaction
• Monitor charger health and performance via digital dashboards, identify errors and anomalies, and guide the field team to quick fixes
• Track uptime, MTTR, SLA achievement and cost per repair
• Act as first point of escalation, give remote troubleshooting guidance, provide on-site support for complex repairs and preventative maintenance, and document issues and solutions
• Promote electrical safety, run safety briefings and compliance audits, and ensure adherence to SOPs and Indian electrical standards
• Handle incidents, escalate complex technical issues to backend engineering, and drive continuous improvement from field insights

Required profile

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
• 4-8 years of hands-on field service experience, preferably in EV infrastructure, grid power systems or heavy industrial electrical systems
• Proven track record in troubleshooting, maintenance and repair; experience managing or mentoring technical teams is a plus
• Fluent English and fluency in Telugu or Hindi
• Willingness to travel monthly within the region, work weekends and holidays, and relocate to other hubs if needed

Required skills

• Strong understanding of HV and LV systems, reading electrical drawings, schematics and single-line diagrams
• Knowledge of power electronics, DC-DC converters and battery systems preferred
• Basic understanding of networking and IoT connectivity (SIM, Wi-Fi, cellular)
