Factory Manager

About the role

The Factory Manager will lead daily manufacturing operations at our Mumbai facility, ensuring efficient production, high quality, and strict compliance with safety and environmental standards. This full-time, on-site position reports to senior management and supports continuous improvement across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and monitor production to meet output and cost targets.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and logistics.
• Oversee resource utilization, inventory control and equipment performance.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives and resolve operational issues.
• Ensure adherence to industrial safety practices, environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
• Prepare operational reports and provide data-driven recommendations to senior management.
• Lead, coach and discipline factory staff to maintain high performance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (advanced qualifications a plus).
• Proven supervisory or managerial experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably chemical or process industry.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills for internal and external stakeholder collaboration.
