Executive Trademark & Litigation Specialist

About the role

Sun Pharma is seeking an Executive Trademark & Litigation professional to support its Trademark department in Mumbai. The role involves managing trademark, copyright and design matters, protecting the company’s brand assets, and handling infringement and litigation cases.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Trademark in developing and implementing trademark, copyright and design strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct trademark, copyright and design searches and clearance activities to assess brand name availability and infringement risks.
• Prepare and file trademark, domain name and copyright applications, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
• Monitor renewals and coordinate maintenance actions for trademarks, copyrights and designs.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on litigation matters and manage dispute, court litigation and domain‑name misuse cases.
• Report violations of trademark regulations and coordinate communication between marketing and legal teams.
• Lead and guide the team on legal procedures, ensuring departmental goals and effective resource utilization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Intellectual Property or a related field.
• 4‑5 years of experience in trademark law, brand protection or intellectual property management.
• Strong knowledge of trademark, copyright and design laws and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
