Executive – Legal (Recovery & Litigation)

About the role

The Executive – Legal will lead recovery initiatives and manage a diverse litigation portfolio for the organization. This role works closely with internal teams and external advocates to ensure effective legal action and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Handle end‑to‑end recovery matters, including evaluation and initiation of appropriate legal action.
• Manage litigation portfolio covering civil, criminal, and cheque bounce cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act.
• Coordinate with external advocates for case strategy, filings, and court appearances.
• Draft and review legal notices, pleadings, settlement agreements, and recovery documentation.
• Support settlement discussions, mediation, and Lok Adalat proceedings.
• Liaise with Sales, Accounts, and Commercial teams for recovery inputs and case updates.
• Track case progress, ensure timely follow‑ups and compliance with legal procedures.
• Maintain MIS reports and litigation trackers for management review.
• Identify risks and ensure adherence to applicable laws and internal policies.

Required profile

• Legal professional capable of handling end‑to‑end recovery matters and managing litigation portfolios.
• Experience coordinating with external advocates and internal business units.
• Familiarity with civil, criminal and NI Act related cases.
