Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper will lead the housekeeping department at Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach, ensuring the highest standards of guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. This senior role oversees all aspects of housekeeping, from statutory compliance to resource management, within a 204‑room beachfront hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all departmental statutory requirements are met and documented.
• Develop and implement systems that uphold organisational standards for guest and associate satisfaction.
• Monitor guest satisfaction scores monthly and address areas of deficiency.
• Manage stock levels by coordinating timely ordering with the Purchase Manager to avoid overstocking or shortages.
• Prepare and execute annual budgets, controlling costs of equipment, linen and uniforms.
• Optimise resource allocation and operational performance across the housekeeping team.
• Train staff on health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Draft, communicate and enforce departmental policies and procedures.
• Recruit, train and develop housekeeping personnel in line with the hotel’s HR plan.
• Foster a culture of employee loyalty, pride and high commitment, handling associate concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage statutory compliance within a hospitality environment.
• Experience in setting up and maintaining operational systems for guest satisfaction.
• Strong budgeting and inventory control skills.
• Leadership experience in hiring, training and developing housekeeping teams.
• Commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
