Events Manager – Hospitality & Banqueting

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Events Manager to lead the full spectrum of food & beverage events at our Fairmont hotel in Agra. You will be the face of our banqueting operations, ensuring every event meets the highest standards of quality, service, and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute all aspects of events and banqueting, from client consultation to post‑event evaluation.
• Maintain event spaces and back‑of‑house areas to hotel standards, ensuring correct use of equipment.
• Manage guest flow, monitor service speed, and uphold quality throughout each function.
• Control event budgets, monitor costs, and identify revenue‑maximising opportunities.
• Develop and nurture client relationships, handling expectations and feedback.
• Train, supervise and mentor the events team, fostering professionalism and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and food‑hygiene regulations.
• Coordinate with external vendors and internal departments for timely delivery of resources.
• Address guest concerns promptly and analyse performance metrics for ongoing enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Event Management, Tourism or Business Administration.
• Proven experience in managing large‑scale F&B events and banqueting operations.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high service standards.
