EPU Manager – Painting Operations

About the role

Alstom is looking for an experienced EPU Manager to lead painting activities within its manufacturing sites. The role combines supply‑chain setup, quality validation, and industrialisation to ensure efficient production of painted components for rail and mobility solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and validate supply‑chain and quality plans for painting operations.
• Prepare manufacturing processes, including operator training, hiring, and subcontractor requirements.
• Deploy and configure APSYS tools, manage MES work orders, and ensure accurate tracking of productive and non‑productive hours.
• Monitor SQCD performance, drive continuous improvement, and optimise work‑stations using APSYS.
• Handle issue management, raise NCRs, and support corrective actions such as QRQC.
• Conduct Process FMEA, define tooling requirements, and qualify product‑process pairs.
• Support supplier qualification, quality follow‑up, and development of local suppliers.
• Issue relevant documentation in the Quality System and supervise technicians as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial painting or similar manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of quality management, supply‑chain coordination, and industrial risk assessment.
• Ability to lead training programmes and manage cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a focus on continuous improvement.
