Embedded Hardware Engineer – SoC Design & Validation

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Hardware Engineer to lead SoC‑level hardware design, bring‑up and validation for automotive ADAS and IVI platforms. You will work within Bosch's Technology Powerhouse in India, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust hardware solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage HW SoC requirements, traceability matrices and technical analysis.
• Create and maintain hardware design documentation, block diagrams and system architecture specifications.
• Contribute schematic and layout designs, including impedance profiling, stack‑up constraints and SI/PI mitigation.
• Lead bring‑up and validation planning, execution and root‑cause analysis for prototype samples.
• Develop Python scripts to automate bench measurements, register‑map parsing and instrument control.
• Provide project planning, effort estimation and risk mitigation, including silicon errata analysis.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive knowledge‑sharing sessions.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in embedded hardware engineering, preferably in automotive domains.
• Proven track record of technical leadership on hardware design and validation projects.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware issues.
• Excellent communication skills to present findings and workarounds to stakeholders.

Required skills

• Python scripting for test automation.
• IBM Rational DOORS, PTC Codebeamer, IBM Engineering Test Management.
• High‑speed interfaces: PCIe, LPDDRx, eMMC, UFS, LVDS/MIPI.
• Automotive networks: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN/FD, LIN, Ethernet.
• Debug tools: Lauterbach Trace32, JTAG, OpenOCD.
• Lab instrumentation: DSOs, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers.
• Domain knowledge of ADAS, IVI, NXP S32G/S32N, Qualcomm and Renesas R‑CAR SoCs.
