Electrical Engineer – Plant Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to lead the installation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of electrical systems within our manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will ensure high plant uptime by applying strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on plant electrical systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults in motors, panels, VFDs, MCCs, transformers, and control circuits.
• Monitor equipment health and recommend upgrades to minimise downtime.
• Install, commission, and test new electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and maintain detailed maintenance records.
• Coordinate with mechanical and production teams for seamless operations.
• Supervise electrical contractors and oversee their work when required.
• Identify energy‑conservation opportunities and process improvements.

Required profile

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (freshers with strong technical knowledge are welcome).
• Familiarity with mineral processing, crushing plants, conveyors, or similar industries is a plus.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with VFDs, PLCs, MCC panels, motors, sensors and switchgear.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and panel layouts.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• Understanding of lockout/tagout safety procedures.
