Director, Statutory Centre of Excellence

About the role

Join Mastercard’s global finance team as the Director of the Statutory Centre of Excellence. You will lead a group of finance professionals responsible for statutory reporting and external audits across all Mastercard entities worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Build and structure a centralized statutory accounting team in partnership with the Finance Vice President.
• Prepare financial statements, support audit requests, and liaise with external auditors to meet strict deadlines.
• Manage the statutory reporting process for multiple entities, maintaining bridge files between US GAAP and local IFRS frameworks.
• Coordinate year‑end accounting activities, working closely with local controllership, tax teams, and the Global Business Service Center.
• Support SOX compliance initiatives and drive improvements to financial reporting controls.
• Assist the external audit process, collaborating with KPMG, PwC, and internal stakeholders to resolve audit data issues.
• Foster strong relationships with controllership and audit functions, delivering a client‑service mindset on all deliverables.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with extensive experience in statutory accounting and technical finance.
• Strong analytical abilities and a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills across cross‑functional teams.
