Director, Human Resources

About the role

Join Kobie's new India Tech Hub as the Director of Human Resources, building the HR function from the ground up to support a fast‑growing technology organization. You will partner with US and India leadership to translate global HR strategy into India‑specific initiatives that drive retention, engagement and a top‑workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and launch of compliant, scalable HR policies, processes and systems aligned with global standards.
• Own the complete teammate experience from recruitment through off‑boarding, ensuring each touchpoint reflects company values.
• Establish and drive India’s talent strategy and recruitment roadmap in partnership with site leadership.
• Design and oversee compensation and benefits strategy, including market benchmarking and salary bands.
• Build a cohesive organisational culture that instils purpose and belonging, driving engagement and recognition programmes.
• Maintain HR compliance across payroll, benefits, statutory requirements and labour relations in accordance with Indian law.
• Develop direct reports, grow the HR team capability and provide coaching to leaders.
• Partner with US HR functions to align India initiatives with global strategy and report HR metrics to leadership.

Required profile

• 10‑12 years of HR experience, with at least 5‑6 years in a senior HR leadership role.
• Deep expertise in Indian labour law, statutory compliance and payroll/benefits administration.
• Proven track record designing and implementing HR policies, processes and systems, preferably in a scaling organisation.
• Strong background in compensation and benefits strategy, market research and total‑rewards planning.
• Extensive talent acquisition experience within competitive technology markets.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and ability to influence senior leaders across time zones.
• People leadership and coaching skills with experience building high‑performing HR teams.
• Comfort with emerging HR technologies and AI‑enabled tools.
